  12. full modem control. The Plus 8 supports many ISA- or EISA-based microcomputer
  13. hosts and provides up to eight ports - all with a full complement of handshake
  14. controls for modem support. Fully shielded cables and remote panels simplify
  15. terminal connections and allow use in harsh and noisy environments without data
  16. loss. Data handling is enhanced by two 8051 microprocessors - one on the board
  17. and another on the I/O panel. Easy to upgrade in the field, a four-port version
  18. converts to eight ports in minutes. To add even more ports, simply insert
  19. multiple boards. Choice of interface: RS-232 or RS-422.
